I really should be knitting my sock (Sarsapirilla), but I cast on the wrong number of stitches and I didn't realize it until 2 inches later when I'm starting to do the cables and saw that one side had 3 stitches and the other side only had 2!! I tried to be creative to create an extra stitch and who would really check on the cuff!!! But I couldn't deal with the error so I frogged it! However, I haven't felt like casting on again!
So in the meantime, I was working on my blankets. I finished my mitered squares to the point I wanted to do for 2012. I don't have my notes in front of me, but I evened it out to 8 diamonds per column. This was the last time I took a photo of the mitered squares blanket in April 2012:

Last week:

This is the 30% mark - as I had set a goal to finish this in 6 years and I'm at 2 years. This was April:

And this is now:

I also took a photo of the crocheted Hexagons to show the size comparison:

Since the photo was taken, I have added 2 more columns, added a row and am working on adding another column. I think another one or two more columns should do it and I'll just work on the length of the blanket. This is very addciting!

I'm ALMOST ready to start ANOTHER BLANKET in worsted yarn with all the Berroco Vintage I've collected. I was thinking of making Flowers in the Snow. It will be squares instead of hexagons.

What do you think? Should I just stay focused?????

I love the mitered squares! They are so lovely!!
Sorry to hear about your socks.

Stay focused. You will finish faster if you don't start a 3rd blanket. More time for socks too.
I love your crocheted blanket. I had started making the African Flower Hexagon blanket. I haven't connected any of the hexagons together yet. It is this pattern http://www.ravelry.com/projects/SeeEmZee/african-flower---paperweight-granny
How do you connect the hess as you crochet?
Hang in there, your blankets are beautiful.
